Re: podcasts
I have been waiting for someone to make this thread, so I can shill my favorite podcasts like crazy. If I seem a little obsessed, it's because I listen to them at work and they keep me sane on the longer days. All of the podcasts I listen to are available on iTunes, since that's what I work from, bu...

Re: Ahaugen, if you delete this Street Art thread....
This isn't what I was referring to by signature. When I said signature, I meant the literal signatures. I don't have any pics of them on hand.
The Dreamspace one was no doubt commissioned, so it doesn't even count as graffiti, really. I just went around taking pics of art downtown one day.

Re: Ahaugen, if you delete this Street Art thread....
Let's see if I can do my part to keep the thread alive! Mostly by sharing pictures. I'm not fond of most traditional graffiti because, well... they're signatures. Beautifully made signatures, but on other people's property. Classy. It particularly made me sad when there was graffiti up on the wall o...

Re: Child's Play Charity Dinner
Ha ha, I realized I misread it shortly after posting, but was far too lazy to go back and fix it!
The usual Penny Arcade style is to put off the auctioned comic until the day before the next Charity Dinner. So expect it in about a year.

Re: Child's Play Charity Dinner
All last night! It was surreal. We actually talked for a long time with the designer who made the Portal gun, before and after the event, and there were famous geeky people all over the place. Gabe, Tycho, the Desert Bus guys - a highly specific and highly awesome crowd. I bid on a monster plushie, ...

I assure you, snow would not have been better - snow in Seattle tends to mean buses skidding off of overpasses. No one knows how to drive on ice here.

Re: What do you want? (For the holidays)
I have this problem where everything I want is either too expensive for me to hint to family and friends that I want it, or too obscure for them to possibly remember what it is five minutes from my asking. So I'm hoping for a new coat and some socks this Christmas! Maybe some of those chocolate coin...

Well, I don't think it was recently, so enjoy this sketchy comic from a few weeks ago.

Protip: allow BEC to get the dragon built, then abduct her and use her for the princess. PROBLEM SOLVED!! Ha! I'd like to see anyone try- I may be going to the Penny Arcade Child's Play charity dinner in December...I should be able to find a Princess there, but she'd be the self-rescuing kind. ...C...

Re: What made YOU happy today?
I went to Rotenburg ob der Tauber for their Imperial festival (which honors when they became a free city) and I NOW HAVE A SWORD! Step one is complete, step two is learn to use it, step three is slay a dragon/rescue a princess. It's only a matter of time now.... I have a good friend who's way into ...

Secret of Kells. It's a stylized animated film that's cute and entertaining and has a great soundtrack.

Re: Time for a Revolution!!
While I'm all in favor of a military junta (because that makes me the leader), Claude didn't win the last election. Neko did. It's right there in the Wiki, folks. You assume that the wiki, you know... updates. Claude was indeed the man who won last time. I recall this because he was in his airship ...
