I don't know what I'm doing... I've been crying almost all day... last time (I've been crying ever since), I was going through his truck, and found a present from him to me, that he'd been waiting until next time I saw him... and he never got the chance to give it to me. :( I almost wrecked my car t...

I'm going to be offline for a while... my father (whom I was closer to than anyone else on the planet) passed away yesterday, without warning... I was talking to him just the day before, and he was fine and happier than he's been in a while (business doing great, bought a new truck, wanted me to hel...

I predicted, back in 2000 when I had just got my FurryMUCK account that, one day, there would be cheap enough resources and bandwidth that a place like FurryMUCK would exist, except in 3D, with beautifully rendered landscapes and furry avatars, and that it would be free. I was off by a number of ye...

Of course I'm serious... why would an online game need to know my real-world identity? Do they need to track users that closely? Does it matter to them if I'm Randy from california or Joe Smith from Nowhere, USA? Does who I am offline have any bearing on the game? If not (and I see no evidence it do...

Heh, I used to run a bbs... TWO shiny 2400 baud modems! 286! A whopping 2 megabytes of ram on an expension card! As to the original thread topic... I have no plans on having a credit card nor anything that can be used as one in the near future. I guess this means they'd probably not let me, or anyon...

A hologram containing a binary representation of many, many books stored on a single thin sheet of uber-high-resolution holographic film. Or, simpler, the pages of those many, many books, all taped together at the edges and laid out flat like a giant quilt. :) EDIT: Hell, a dvd-r disc can contain a ...

Well, if we assume chickens can fly (....), and assume it's an open truck (i.e. a cage) rather than an enclosed one, that could work. Possibly. Maybe. If the truck is closed, all the flying/flapping/etc is internal forces, with the reaction pushing down on the truck due to the increase in air pressu...
