Re: Pencil work in progress

The practical limit for most people is likely to be 1280 pixels wide. Although my laptop runs at 1600, most others are closers to the 1280 size. Since a lot of people use laptops to surf, I'm going to let that tail wag the dog. Personally, my desktop and laptop both run at 1400x1050, but I can brin...

PHP is easy to setup! Just let RedHat do it for you ;)

I'm not a fan of RedHat in general, but for servers, they actually have something resembling sanity.

Re: [OT] Keensplat

The server I'm running HRF on is suffering from 3 years worth of kruft induced bit rot and really needs to be wiped clean and re-built. It's running NT 4.0 now and I'm thinking of moving it to NT 2K (I know IIS, I don't know apache). If you ever feel the urge to get that server off NT and on to a *...

I just want to make sure I'm not seeing things (or not NOT seeing things...): Are there no images anywhere on the site at the moment (aside from banners and externally-linked images), or is there something really strange on my end?

[09/01/03] Yikes!

After reading the alt text I had to go back and re-read the strip to catch it :o
Lucky for me I read Freefall and K&K! Well done, Scott! :D

Well, I wind up in the emergency room near death's door every time a strip I read misses an update, but do what you must.... :-? Seriously, I would much rather see my favourite strip miss some updates than risk you burning out trying to keep up when things get overly hectic. Besides, I'm conditioned...

Re: Here comes the Men in Black....

Now that I think of it, though, a frequent visitor of the forum works in a TV station out in Saudi Arabia, I believe. You might contact him, to see if he can set up a link locally. Or set up an e-mail distribution from out there. You thinking of TVDave? It's probably worth looking into, but I don't...

 As a big Eagles fan, I like it! :D

Considering Jack's love of cars, a Life In The Fast Lane parody might be good, too. No, I'm not volunteering, I can't write ;)

(I wonder what Heneley would think of this?;))

I never like saying anything about Veteran's Day, because anything I say sounds, to me, like a hollow token at best. Just "thanks" doesn't seem like enough, and I'm lousy at expanding on it. So, here's the best way I can find to put it:

Thanks.

Sounds like Jack may have an adopted sister, that may not have liked/loved her original sibling, and may become his bodyguard to protect him from the other lions. Hmmm... she did say to jack that she's "Someone else that wants to kill you.", but I guess "wants" doesn't have to mean she will ... hrm...

Re: Ad free viewing

Cheap and easy! Due to system crashes and lost software(and the fact that I can't figure out how to install a COM port in Redhat 7.3) I'm using Windoze 95b with IE 3. Apparently the Java scripts on Keen are a slightly higher level than what the browser can interpret, so no banners! I think Mo...

Working good here in Mozilla 1.2beta, except for the buttons along the bottom. Any chance they could be brought towards the center and closer together?

I'm no doctor, but I'd be extremely uneasy about walking around with a diastolic pressure of 100 for any length of time. Personally, I'd ask my doc if there was something he could put me on for a couple weeks...
