True, but sometimes, you owe it to your honor, and the truth, to at least *try* and set folks straight. Ethics can be a difficult burden to bear, sometimes. Or so they tell me. Anyway, yes, it *was* inspired by both of those comics. I dimly recall reading the Bloom County one, and the quote ...

It reminded me of one of Bloom County's Oliver Wendell Jones's late-night laments.

I'm afraid I didn't get all the references. I think I got the Kevin & Kell one, and I know who Eric von Daniken is and (generally) what his theories are, but I didn't catch the Freefall reference. And the other two names are beyond me. A little help, someone? I'm glad you didn't ask for a lot of he...

Emergencies

One thing sure to make an emergency worse is another emergency. Best wishes working through them, and absolutely no need to worry about rushedness. There are only 24 hours most days, and things have to have priorities.

The 12/26 strip is a chuckle, particularly if you're familiar with why "mammals" are called that. ;) But I had to wonder: if you take a young lady out who is wearing plutonium (PU-236) in her bra, would that be called "radioactive dating"? *Oooh* (groan of admiration, of course) This is the young l...

Andreas Petzoldt

I have a couple thoughts about the Andreas Petzoldt flying suit... (1) I wonder what he does about torque? Maybe just always using the diffuser they mentioned in one direction. They did mention it was going to act something like a helicopter's tail rotor, which does the job for a helicopter after al...

(Do you give a Horse-Wuff a milkbone or an apple? I've no idea...?) I'm not certain myself. One of each is probably best, just in case. Although I think Barbara Woodhouse recommends nachos. :D Yup!
It's kind of weird actually getting complimented on my art. :o
You will have to get used to it. :) I loved the strip back when the writing did the heavy lifting, but the art is as good nowadays. The enemy's goal is nothing less than our deaths. Naw, they'll be happy with our conversion or submission to Islam, instead. I have to admit, though, on the bright-side scale that comes to about a -3. Someday, though. I mean, someday someone will get something like the Sonic Cruiser going. I don't ...

I was just pondering how Jack in VR could get poinged by Jenny in RR. batty den Well, Jack may just be very compliant. Or... maybe the phone OS is Microsoft, and when she pounced, his image _crashed_ to the ground? Oh, by the way: Harry Truman, Doris Day, Red China, Johnnie Ray, South Pacific, Walt...

Are you still unemployed? Wow. This is the sort of thing that makes me glad I don't work in any technology field. * sigh * I was lucky, when my employer dot-bombed, my previous employer picked me up (my change of job was part of a deal between the two, so no hard feelings were involved). Road Rover sighted?

Ok, this is a bit of a long shot, but is the soldier with the British flag Coleen, formerly working with another, somewhat less official unit?
